A Guide To Managing Local Pickups As A Seller On BidSheet
As a seller there are times that a buyer would like to directly pickup from your facility because they are local and the cost of freight wouldn't make sense for them to have or they might have a local carrier. In order for this to happen we would like to share with you what we recommend buyers upload in exchange for a BOL and would like to offer a few recommendations for our sellers to review in order to protect your material.
Step 1) See if the driver has a copy of the invoice that was uploaded to the site.
Step 2) Confirm the driver is the individual that is supposed to pickup the shipment by confirming the name on the drivers license. (This makes sure the person that is supposed to pickup the shipment is the actual person the material is being released to)
Step 3) We recommend having the drivers sign and date as well. The same way that you would have a BOL signed and dated.
Step 4) Print your name and date at the bottom of the invoice to reflect that you have reviewed the above provided documents and release the material.
Step 5) Take photos of the shipment and it being loaded into the truck.
Step 5) Make a copy of the invoice and provide it to the driver.
Step 6) Scan and upload the signed document with the photos. To complete the order. This shows proof that the transaction is complete and allows Bidsheet to provide you with your payout within a few days of the close of a sale.
ImportantPlease note, if BOL's / Invoices are signed and uploaded prior to the customer picking up the shipment you will be risking your account on Bidsheet. |
